Tell Cop City contractors to cut ties and #StopCopCity!

As Asian Americans fighting to end police violence, we can help stop the creation of the largest police training facility in the US.

The Atlanta Police Foundation (APF), corporations, and local officials plan to destroy the Weelaunee Forest to build a police training compound. The compound, Cop City, would train cops from around the world in militarized police tactics.

Atlanta residents deserve safety, not urban warfare. Tell Cop City contractors to cut ties and #StopCopCity!

APF, these corporations, and Atlanta officials only care about profiting off violence. By building Cop City, they continue the cycle of policing that harms, kills, and imprisons us, especially our Black and Brown neighbors and loved ones [1, 2].

Atlanta police have already murdered a forest defender in an attempt to remove protestors from the Weelaunee Forest [3]. We must stop Cop City.

We want places where our communities can thrive, not more police. We must invest in systems of care. Whether that’s in education, mental health resources, sustainable energy, and clean water. And we want this for all of us.

Cop City is currently planned by the Atlanta Police Foundation and main contractor Brassfield & Gorrie. Brassfield & Gorrie contracts several subcontractors to plan and build the compound [4]. These subcontractors include LS3P Architects, Atlas Technical Consultants, Specialty Finishes Incorporated, Brent Scarbrough & Company, and Trammell Crow Company.

Help us defend the forest and #StopCopCity. Tell these subcontractors to cut ties with police violence!
